DIVE INTO INDUSTRY LEADERS IN THE TECH CAPITAL OF THE WORLD
Last year's Silicon Valley Business Plunge was our third in eight years and first under The Experience banner. EGL and STEM students visted HP, Tesla, Texas Instruments, Netflix, Google, Microsoft and Santa Clara University (a major tech recruitment school). Students heard from executives, software developers, hardware developers, data scientists, products managers and salespeople. Additionally, over dinner, the group heard from special guest speaker Paul Voge, CEO and co-founder of the Aura Bora beverage brand, based in San Francisco.
Major themes for the week included AI as the next frontier in tech and the critical role of big data to drive growth. The importance of networking and constant learning while on the job were also offered as advice for career success.

As one of the Microsoft hosts put it on LinkedIn, ‘Today’s tour and visit with Village Christian School was the highlight of my day. They came from LA to learn about Microsoft and our mission to empower everyone. I loved their curiosity, enthusiasm and creativity as they explored our campus and tried our devices and demos. They asked great questions as they tried our latest VR, AR and AI innovations. They inspired me with their vision of using technology to make a positive impact and they reminded me why I love working at Microsoft."
